well i'm down five pounds, doing it slowly so it will stay off. although on saturday, thinking about trying to fit into my halloween costume, i was trying to remember the details of an article i read about jockeys - they would lose eight pounds in ONE day for a race.
these guys would drink a ton of tea, sit in a sauna, take a diuretic that is actually supposed to be used for horses, and on and on. but there was no mention of the word "anorexia" anywhere. the jockeys talked about "not keeping" their food, i.e. purging, yet there was no mention of "bulimia." one guy had a panic attack because he was spending a "normal" day with his family, and ate half a slice of pizza to look "normal" in front of his kids, and when he went to puke it up, he couldn't. he tried, and it wouldn't budge. so all the drive home, he's freaking out about how to get that half-slice of pizza out of his belly, but he doesn't have an eating disorder! oh, no, guys don't have eating disorders - well, maybe gay guys do, bt not real guys, especially not athletes. ha ha ha.
maybe we should get some jockeys to join the ana/mia communities here. it sounds like they'd have some good tips.

I have been overweight since I was like 12. Finally figuring that 20 years is enough, I joined WW. So far, in 8 weeks, I've lost 23.8 lbs. It's tough...but so worth it. If you want to talk about stuff like this, I'd be happy to add you as a friend. There are a few people in my friends list that are also struggling with weight.
You ROCK!
